mixer or recorder

what if i dont want to buy a soundcard, i could hoook up the instrument with a mixer or guitar port, right?

i think the best thing for you to do is save your money, go to a pro studio and let the peeps who know what they are doing and want to buy equipment record for you. the thing about recording is, you either spend the money and get good results or you be cheap and get crappy recordings. i see so many bands wanna get recorded cheap and when they are not happy with the results they complain and wonder what they did wrong.....well, being cheap is where you went wrong
