I've posted my older setup on here awhile ago,..

But it has changed since that post,..and has even changed a little more since these newer pics.

I'm mainly a drummer, but also an electronic musician. (Industrial, Ambient)

This is my electronic setup. There are plenty of other pieces of gear that I own, not in the pics,...
because unfortunately I do not have enough space / room where I live.
So, alot of the others are stored in a closet space near by..or at my band room pratice spot.
But, they recieve the same attention, as the others, when I decide to rotate.

Check out my monitors. You guys will get a good laugh outta that!:D

Wow. That's quite a pair you've got there. :D

Thanx! I shouldn't have a hard time findin' the "sweet spot" right?:D

But, no..seriously, I've got a pair of NS-10's. Just not in that setup. (although they should be)...

They (peaveys) do the trick for what I need 'em for right now...until I get another pair of N.F. monitors.;)

Looks good for the wife, now I need to figure out how to make it sound good and still look good... Probably doesn't help that it's in the "loft" space so missing 1.5 walls

Hi All,

I've been slowly building my workspace up over the years and am close to what I think is a fully functional home studio. There are some sound proofing items I'm still working on. I try to research things before I implement them into my space. My latest project was creating a keyboard slide for my desk. This totally allowed me to open up the room to add a seating area. My next project will be speaker stands. I upgraded to the KRK8's and my old stands are not working out with them. Here's a few photos of my updated space... let me know what you think and any ideas on sound isolation and room improvements are greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Nice space! I especially like the diffuser on the back wall, like a piece of art! If you're into the DIY thing, you can build some cheap speaker stands using some IKEA stuff if you have one near by. http://ikeahacker.blogspot.com/2010/06/vika-curry-speaker-stand.html

EDIT: Whoops! Should've kept reading till the newest post before I posted this, didn't see you already modded your desk!

Sorry this one did not work...

"Banana Man Records"

My little space, locally know as "Banana Man Records" mostly due to the fact that I have played shows drumming in a banana man costume. I know its nothing special, and its not the perfect spot for acoustics but it does what we need it to for now.

Hey, we have the same portastudio! I don't need it much anymore, I more or less use it to get sound out of both an amp and to my computer for REAPER. I need to post updated pics soon.

Cosy little corner Keith.....:)
Got a friend who uses Logic 9, I was pretty impressed by it.
Have you tried the mastering presets? (duck, the purists are coming....!)

nope, i read a tutorial in them but so far ive only used the synths and just learned the basic...I have to get a cable to plug it into the monitor..

i will say the synth stuff in logic sound pretty excellent, and what ive tried of the plug ins as well looks better than much of the stuff i already own..it'll take a while before I tire of playing with them :)

Here is the small room I share with my 12 year old son to make music.

I've been running logic for 2 years now and I just tried the mastering presets on my latest project (the presets channel strips for Channel 1-2) and they sound phenomenal. I had no idea this has been in my program the whole time!

Hi Guys,

This is my mini me studio, I know it's not my main studio ha ha, but I put this together as in 2 weeks I am going to India for 2 months.

Last time I was there 9 years ago I was kicking myself for not taking some recording gear to record street players and many small festival performers. A lot of these performers can never record their work. I even sat in for a jam session with a Tibetan rock band in Mcleodganj. I plan to record with the zoom, edit on the notebook and save to wave & mp3, eventually I will get a copy to the performer in some format they can play.

This set up can do anything I need and it fits in a small bag. Coffee cup optional.

Cheers
alan
