Have you listened to the Tannoys? What’s your opinion of them?Ok, I've been piecing together my new set up, and transferring stuff from my old set up.

Looks great! Love that SSL and your plan to make the desk fit will make it look like a seamless console desk. The desk under the console has good sturdy steel legs, but is about 8 inches too wide.
I plan to dismantle it, chop off the offending 8", modify the metalwork, and then put it back together, narrower.
Then the rack just to the right of it can hutch up a bit.
The engineered oak shelf looks good, and the monitor arm that came the other day is very sturdy, and
does what I wanted, which is place the lower edge of the monitor close to the top lip of the console.
I did buy a computer (german) for the DAW, but I'm going to get another one for it.
The first computer will be used to control the DAW from inside the acoustic chambers.

Not as full as the Event TR8s, but at 5", they wouldn't be.Have you listened to the Tannoys? What’s your opinion of them?
Yeah, they were just doing it naturally, with what they had available.Minimalist...I probably have posted this before....
I spotted the poles - that’s why I asked if you had listen to them since they weren’t mounted. Not as full as the Event TR8s, but at 5", they wouldn't be.
The acid test is that my MP11 piano sounds like a piano through the Tannoys, unlike the 8" Samson monitors I bought.
My only complaint is the loud click when you turn them on or off.
You might spot the brackets attached to them, so I can pole-mount them.
Damn dude that is a lot of gear...Post pics when you're done!I'm in the middle of a big upgrade thanks to the tax changes we have through the end of the year.
Just curious what's the speakers? Didn't recognizes the 'mark on the dome :>)This is my little corner of the world. Everything is within reach. Still the same old square room, little has change over the years but it suits me fine. I started in the 90s with two cassettes decks and a DJ mixer, this is bliss in comparison.
This room is also my observatory that I do my Astrophotography from.![]()
I see you have the 500 series AMS effects module. How do you rate it?I'm in the middle of a big upgrade thanks to the tax changes we have through the end of the year.
Excuse the mess!
I like it better than the plug-in. I've read that they're the same, but if this is true, there must be something in the converters that makes the hardware seem a little (subjective) better to me. I'm working with a console and a tape machine, and it fits my workflow better.I see you have the 500 series AMS effects module. How do you rate it?
They're Wharfedale Atlantic 200's from the 90s. They're the part of the studio that I should really change but I've been using them for 20+ years now and I know them so well, so I've never got around to replacing them with proper studio monitors. I look from time to time and think about getting something new but never commit.Just curious what's the speakers? Didn't recognizes the 'mark on the dome :>)
Nice touch with the Alesis SR-18. A very good drum box indeed. My humble home studio in the Tennessee Smoky Mountains' foothills:
