i really dig tannoy monitors - i had an old pair that i mixed on for years. stupidly i sold them when i thought i was getting out of the music thing a little while back. these little haflers that i have now are cool. i added a sub and things seem to translate pretty well.

Haven't you learned you don't get out of music? You just may take a break now and then;)

Nice set up. I like those racks. Mind if I ask How much and where?

Thanks. The racks I got from ebay. One was $30, the other was actually $1.25 (nobody bid on it). I've seen them from a few different vendors too.

it reminds me of my first (and only, thankfully) recording studio internship many years ago. the owner of the studio and i would sit around making harnesses, drum snakes & split snakes while listening to 'powerage' by ac/dc or the who. good times!

Sounds like EXCELLENT training to me! :D

yes - on the job training! learning to appreciate both the smell of molten solder and 70's hard rock. i still to this day drop the needle on powerage when i've got some cable making to do. i was really lucky that i only had to suffer through one internship. after being a slave there for about 3 months the studio hired me as an assistant and then engineer. i spent over 5 years there amazingly enough. oh how time flies.

Solder is "usually" 40% Lead...smell it for long and appreciation for anything will become well,...relative.

It's just a joke damnit!

Seriously, work in a well ventilated area and make some quality cables!

PEACE...or else.

How do you mix, with that interesting speaker arrangement?

I only use the bottom speakers 99% of the time. If I want to A/B with the upper speakers I have to stand up a bit to get in position.
Works just fine.

Well...I guess it's about time I post some pics of my stuff on here. When my power cord for the LCD monitor comes the CRT on top of the amp is going away and the mixer is going on top of the amp. I also don't have a lava lamp...bad, I know. Comments, concerns? Bring them on.

are you talking about my monitors? They saound, verry good, I won't say Amazing, but for thier price I'm verry satisfied, though I would advise going with the YSM1p's becouse the lack int the freq. range in the 2p's is my only real complaint (plus it cant hurt to beable to go louder :D)

Edit: p.s. if your planning to get rid of those mic's I'll be glad to take them from you, I could use a few extra cab mic's :D

My humble Home recording studio. Will post more pics.
