I hope so, cuz I bet that was quite a chunk of change for pretty. I bet 160 and 80 is is a booming mess in there.

New pics - Been a while I guess...

Lemme see if I can lift some URL's -- The new Tyler D4M's (the "little guys") are the only substantial change since the last bunch I think...

I find it so odd that Coors Light is sold in Canada, but regular Coors is some mythical creature never seen, sold, heard of or drank here!

Anyhow...someone post something about their studio before I do! :D

Love seeing a clean mastering setup, well any clean setup I guess, but just the fact that you can sit there and don't need to wheel around to all kinds of racks that are out of the sweet spot (I always wonder how anyone can accurately adjust a piece of outboard gear when it's no where close the the mix position), and no giant board you need to wheel left-to-right on. I wonder if we did a poll asking Mastering Engineers and Mixing or tracking Engineers who's back hurt more on a scale of 1-10, what the verdict would be.

Hey, I'm new here and I was just looking for some tips to improve acoustics in the room I'm going to be recording in right now. The room itself is probably not the most apt for a studio, seeing as it has two windows and one full wall is a set of glass/wooden folding doors. Here's what I have set up right now:

I don't have much in the way of foam, blankets, or anything to absorb sound other than carpeting and that quilt over the doors (the window has pepsi signs in it because it reflects sunlight and keeps the room cooler). I plan to pull the drums out from the wall when I do start recording them.

What are some cost-effective things I could do to improve room acoustics/sound when I start recording? There's a very slim chance I might be able to move the "studio" into a room with only one window, but assuming I stay here, I'm going to try to make it sound as good as I can. Thanks in advance for the input!

(By the way, my apologies if this is in the wrong thread, getting used to a new forum is a little weird)
