Take two dixie cups and punch small hole in the bottoms, place some string through each hole, and tie them to a paper clip apiece. pull string taut! Now your worries are over!
 
speaking of home recording,

I just made me a custom guitar,broomstick with a fishing net,and my panning is very wide because i use nonstick pans,they help a lot.Basicaly put 2 pans on the gas..yes gas... no ellectric because that causes a digital distortion.So you take the handles of pans and move them opposite from eachother so you will get a wide stereo image.But keep the guitar little farther from the pans because you may clip the fishing wire from the hot signal.

Thanks for all this usfull info, my recordings are coming out great, but my kithens a mess and my moms mad, she din't mind the body slam, but the milk enema was a tough one for her!!! :eek: :D

Well you're half right, yes your mom does the mixing, but it's not "in the butt" it's "in the box" as in your mom's sweet sweet box. So what you have to do is put your computer in your mom's box, then mix to taste. I prefer the Charlie Tuna setting.
