HD24 & Motif ES Sync Problems

Trying to sync my HD24 with my Motif ES is not working
It will play, lock and locate but it is slipping something awefull.
Is it possible to make this work without purchasing an external
time code generator?

The HD24 cannot be slaved to MTC, it must be the master. If the Motif cannot be slaved to MTC you will need a timecode converter(ie:MOTU Timepiece) to convert MTC into ADATsync. The HD24 will then slave via the ADATsync connection.
