IT'S AS DONE AS I CAN DO IT
Hey Guys...Sincere sincere sincere thanks for the quick help. It's the end of the weekend, but I'm oddly tired, LOL.
The past 3 hours or so, I tried to address most of what ya'll picked up on this version, and I'm sending the .wav file to Jamal via MSN Messenger (thank you Bill Gates for being a monopolistic genius).
I'm too burnt to do the name by name thing right now, and it's Jamal's job anyway
, but I wanted to address a couple of things.
Mixmkr - The second chorus was inspired by you. I took some of the guitars from the last chorus and mixed them into the 2nd chorus in an attempt to KICK THE HELL OUT OF THE 2ND CHORUS. Great idea. The noise that you and chad are hearing is in the vocal track. Jamal has promised me NEVER to record reverb onto a vocal track again, lol. Once you compress that, well...you know. But just so you know...YES, IT'S IN THE .WAV FILE TOO...LOL.
Muzeman - Good ears on the gits...it's most harsh during the second chorus, b/c on 2 of the 4 guitars there, I hyped the mids A LOT...whole bunches. Maybe overdone
Thanks.
The words at the end are intentionally unintelligible. I did those, and I will go to my grave taking the secret message with me. (or see below
)
Guernica - I'm glad you don't hate it. LOL. I think it's a cool song too.
Alibish - I did a bunch of the stuff you mentioned, but I'm not touching that kick...LOVE IT!!!
Chad - I'm keeping that kick track. I have a feeling you'll be hearing the kick again in my songs.
For those of you who had questions about who was playing what, I'm posting a pic of the session. This is what it looked like AFTER I cleaned it up and consolidated some tracks. God, it was really a mess...LOL.
the words in the outro were (on one side) the track titles to a CD I got from "smuckinfart" last week (very cool, btw), and (on the other side) some Texas cities listed on the front of a phone book - those were the two things in front of me at the time
