all coments good or bad welcome!

I Feel Good

thats a 128k mp3 converted from the original WAV file. Enjoy.

Not a bad mix mate. You might want to try however recording with a click track or something next time as the timing could do with a bit. Timing is ever so important, especially with that sort of song. A really really good mix can only really start if you have got the sound right at the source and I believe that this not only includes the actual tone of instruments but the playing as well.

I really like the tones you have, particularly that guitar one. Could perhaps do with some brightening up somehow, missing a bit of a sparkle!

Good effort though, keep mixing and learning, it's what it's all about!

i was hoping no one would mention the timing thing, its 3 of us doing all that and i was only responcable for my bass tone, there single tracked beacuse my card only has 1 input and i hate to say it but the guitarist we recorded with wasnt the best choice but it was a laff so alls well that ends well, i got another song to mix by us 3 aswell, we just recorded em beacuse we had to play em for a collage assignment but yano, im ranting so im off.

ta for compliments anyway

Way too much bass dude. It is a very clean mix, but clean to the extremes. The high end is ear-splitting and the bass is blowing my woofers apart. The timing is a disaster too. It's hard to listen to. Guitar and drums sound pretty good from what I can tell. The bass is stomping all over everything. Sounds like there's some compressor pumping going on too.......maybe.

Fun song to play with and you seemed to track everything pretty well, but the overall mix is kind of wild. Stick with what you got and do a re-mix paying close attention to how things are supposed to sit together. What are you monitoring through?

Its a valiant attempt. Ultimately, the performance needs to be a lot tighter.:)

lol an we ignor the playing side of things i aint happy wid that its the mix i like.

im a student and therfore have no money so i just got some beyerdynamic DT100's to moniter through, then i give it a listen on a nice upmarket dennon, a nasty downmarket sharp system, and some sony headphones just to check things.

i thought the bass would be more fitting for this genre overmixed, but should i cut the low frequencies that dont make to much differnce to the sound like 20hz to avoide blowing your subs up?

It's not really the tonality of the bass, although it may be. It's hard to tell because it's so damn loud.

bass is a killer here... and its NOT a hard thing to get wrong either (esp. when you dont have the best monitors) i would agree with Greg... do a re-mix and try to straighten out that ear bleed of a bass and those timing problems. Get some click in there. I love the song tho.. very fun and don't worry my mixes have sounded WAY WORSE than that before. Good stuff :)
