Again, A set up is not done at the factory, a set up is done by the person, shop, dealer that sells you the guitar, factory QC work ensures that the guitar can be set up.

.

100% .. its the shop that let you down here ... i always look at the setup on the first cheap guitars i see as soon as i walk through the door, they are a direct pointer to the knowledge of the staff ... if the setups arse then its generally a good idea to shop elsewhere .. (unless they are offering a huge discount, which might be worth the risk)

btw if your reading this,in UK and near MusicBox Accrington have a look in there,*all* guitars are setup as good as they can be,even the cheapos ... and no i have nothing to do with them,im just a customer and giving credit where credit is due :)

Accrington is a bit far north for me but I'm glad that you have found a shop that knows their shit.:thumbs up:

. All instruments that are made of wood and played regularly need setting up often.

^^^^^^ this ^^^^^^^

As I have said many times ..... set up is something every guitar player should know how to do.
My Stinnett is a bad ass guitar and very stable. nevertheless I do a set up on it a couple times a year. Just part of playing guitar as far as I'm concerned.
