I actually built a rectangle cage out of PVC pipe. Draped the blankets over the top and sides, using thin wire to affix them to the pipe. You enter at the end where there's no PVC pipe bisecting the side...

This dramatically cuts down on weird reflections, but it's not a soundproof room. My studio is in the attic and with an apex type ceiling, the reflections are very odd -- ringy and echoey...

I'm going to give that a shot. And put it together with elbows and things that I can disassemble when I am done. Not the cheapest fix I've seen, but it seems to be the the one that makes the most sense. Thanks for the tip (even though I'm not the one who asked :o )

i love all these home made tips, theyre better than any thousand dollar vocal booth anyways ... haha

Maybe "better" is the wrong word, but they are definitely "more accessible" to the average HR.commer... ;)
