So many mic pres......SO MANY MIC PRES!!
As pleased as I am with my SP B1's, I will wait patiently for the RNP and see how it does "against" the VTB-1. Actually, I'm really saving for some fancy pres, but might end up getting some of these lil' pres if they really do end up matching the big boys "quality". Anywayz, I can hardly wait to hear them both. It stands to reason, though, that the way technology keeps marching along, it is possible to offer good clean amplification at a reasonable cost. Hooray for us!
Randy, you are spot on. But I think we might be getting somewhere in this thread. Getting pissed off is exactly what Chessweak wants you to do. I may be feeding the fire, but I am honestly trying to help by assisting him through his "growing pains". Why? I would really like to hear what some of the contributors to this board have to say. How can they get down to business when the class bully keeps shooting spit balls at them?
As is the case with most bullies, he finds comfort in lashing out at those who display stronger skills and more intelligence. His warped perception of his own abilities makes it impossible to recognize the fact that he has been outsmarted in every possible way.
By focusing on a tiny comment, he can avoid the issue but still listen to himself "talk". I think that most teens and twenty-somethings find great power in their newly found ability to communicate with adults seemingly on their own level. These new skills take time to develop, and unfortunately, Chessfart, having nowhere else to go, has chosen this forum as his own personal "thinking school".
He doesn't realize that his "track record" is all of the pompous and ignorant comments that he has made on this very forum. In an attempt to attract attention to himself, he has learned that challenging his superiors not only gets a reaction, but stirs up enough debate for him to interject his own meaningless brand of "opinion". Much like a baby waving its arms and shouting, "NO!".
I can only hope that he will recognize his unhealthy obsession with this message board. An obsession that has only brought out his worst paranoid and insecure traits. He has shown some improvement over time, I think he is close to learning an important lesson about the real world.
And if you're REALLY good, Chessy-Wessy, maybe I'll take you out for a cheeseburger in my Land Rover. You'd like that, wouldn't you, Chessy?
