Thanks Chattbox.
I want to thank everyone who dropped by in my thread. The feedback helped a lot - especially listening to the remixes done by Dogman, Llarion and DonF. The comparative balance issues and the different approaches helped me re-align my own sense of sonic balance in the mix.
I've done a final (yeah, sure

) mix of it and just replaced the uploaded file linked in the original post. I think I've got a pretty good balance now between the preamp tooby midrange emphasis I used in the tracking (to deal with the piezo tone), a balanced EQ spectrum, and part clarity.
Changes from the original mix... I substituted a multiband limiter for the chained broadband limiters I had used on the lead bluesy guitar on the right to control its lower mids, boosted its highs above 7 kHz a couple dBs and put just a touch of delay on it. I also reduced the gain of the chained limiters on the left solo gtr by just a bit to make it a bit cleaner. Lastly, I put a high pass filter at 100 Hz on the nylon chunk-chunk-chunk backing gtr to clean up its low end a bit.
Thanks again.
Tim
