well, not exactly MY band. i played with them because their usual guitarist is in england. the band is called the Damn Dirty Apes. i will inform you of any up coming gigs.
Really? That works? I'm looking at the Delta 1010LT - I don't see any 1/4" inputs on that thing, just a bunch of RCA inputs. Would I just need an adapter then (1/4" to RCA)?
Also, with your 1/4" cable, do you have it halfway plugged in like EZP was saying?
Jeroleen - You are hooked up correctly. You might want to bring all the outputs of your MOTU into seperate channels back into the mackie if you want to use the mackie for mixdown. If you are doing all of your mix in the computer than you are all set.
If you plug a mono cord all the way into the insert, it becomes a direct in, instead of a direct out. Y-cables are good for this pourpose! One can dicect out a signal to the computer and the out of the soundcard can be direct ined to the mixer!
wait, so me plugging a mono 1/4" into the channel insert and then into my soundcard input makes the channel insert a direct input? then how come the channel insert SENDs to my soundcard???
Nope, you missunderstood me. A Y-cable splits one TRS jack into two TS-jacks. So on the bottom part of the Y there's one stereo jack and on the top part there are two mono jacks.
These two mono jacks can easily be replaces by two RCAs.
How to solder these?? It should be somewhere on the main pages. Search for 'Y-cable' or 'insert cable'!
