Caught the Forum in the ACT!

I knew it! I bet I'm not the only one that has noticed when you submit a post the system sometimes omits or adds letters in words, adds or omits lines and even changes entire words. It also undoes edits between logins, creates double posts, etc. No one says anything because we all quietly think these are typos and oversights on our part. We also quietly think some of us are careless spellers (Well quietly that is since Derek Verner stopped pointing it out ).

So this is the official "What the Hell is Happening When We Click Submit Reply" thread.

Is Fiedler just having way too much fun or is it a bug in vBulletin? I know it’s not me.

As far as the spelling thing goes, I'm a rotten speller and in fact use a spell checker program on every single post I submit here.

The way I figure it, if I do have a decent thought to contribute to a thread, I'd at least want it to be readable so as not to diminish the quality of what I was trying to say.

If Derek did one good thing in his life, (and the jury's still out on that one! ), it was to help me to become better in English proficiency.

As for the other hiccups this BBS produces, considering the price, I'm not complaining!

yes I have noticed this too. Often I will double and triple check posts for typos and then after I hit submit there are awful ones that I would have never made in the first place. But, this is not the only site I have noticed this with. And, if you edit right away, it wouldn't say that you ever edited.

Come to mention it... it took me a couple of years to get an account on here where I could actually post. Every few months I'd sign up for an account and every single time I would not receive an email confirmation. So, I have about 6 different logins for this forum, but can't post with any of them... except this one of course. I even tried contacting the site owner to no avail.

Well... at least I can run my mouth now... i guess that's all that matters.
