Can anyone comment on the differences between the Studio Projects C1 and B3?

And I've said it a million times - MXL mics aren't available for sensible money in Britain. They cost two or three times (and often more) what you pay for them in the states.

Nik, you can get MXL mics in the Netherlands, brand new, the V69 Mogami for € 250 and the V77S for € 450.

www.msv.nl , click on contact (it says Wat kunnen wij voor u doen?, which means, what can we do for you) type your question there or phone +31 (0)513 629120 they can speak English perfectly.

So this went downhill fast ... did we decide on mics?
I think we've concluded that anyone who recommends a specific brand of microphone is clearly on the payroll of that company and is receiving kickbacks to pimp these mics (or is it "mikes?"). That being the case, I must recommend only Brauner and Telefunken microphones for any and all recording purposes.

Oh, and Earthworks are pretty good, too.

And Schoeps and Neumann's are decent.

BLUE is acceptable, on a budget.

Everything else is crap.

Except for AT, AKG, & Shure. Their higher-end stuff will work in a pinch.

Oh, yeah...

It better not be the PMI Audio Group behind this slander.
Err ... yeah, that's right ... that's why they made a site about me first

Are you listening to yourself? Do you really think that PMI has nothing better to do than persecute poor DJL from wherever?

You have an hugely inflated sense of importance in the world. Grow up.

So now we know...

The basic point is that all Chinese microphones are crap because my partner Chessrock says so. Go to our website to find out more:

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............. the truth comes out! I had you pegged to be at least 15 or 16 years old... ;)

Sorry, but this post was SO funny that I blew coffee out of my nose as I read it!

Whats wrong with DPA?

So what is now wrong with DPA mics/mikes (or actually, being a Danish company, it should be "mikrofoner").

You didn't mention them at all... must be an error!

They are really quite good mikrofoner (oh... wait... I was shortly involved in the making of these mics 20 years ago, so I suppose I'm not allowed to say this then ;-)

I happen to think DPA are a great company ... but seeing as I work with Scrubs at Brauner I can't really go around pimping DPA ... :)

Secretly, I love them, but I have been instructed by noisedude to say that DPA mics are crap and that Brauner is the only way to go. :p

That's right. You'll get what's coming to you ok ... ;););)

(by which I mean free Brauner mics ... it's not a threat ...)

I'm betting the PMI Audio Group and or their internet friends are behind the slander.

Would not surprise anyone. They have been after you for a long while. Best to track these guys down.

Do you have anything to back that up? Anything at all?

I thought so.

I for one would be completely surprised. But, we all know you have an axe to grind here.
