at4050 shock mount

Just got a 4050, nice, but the shock mount is kinda scary. You actually have to push it past the rubber band? oy!! Then you need a pencil to move the hp, atten, polar patter switches.
 
Pencil? You must have some mighty big fingers. As for the mount... such was my first impression of the shock mount.
 
They are different part numbers, so yes. How different I don't know as I have a 4050 and have never screwed with a 3035. Looking at pics of the 3035, the two mounts look VERY similar.
 
They are very different shockmounts. The 4050 will fit in the 3035 shockmount, but not straight on (because of the raised AT logo on the front). The 4050 shockmount is a bitch to use, but it holds it in there nice and steady, so I'm not complaining.
