Probably in the wrong sub-forum so move if needed.

Just wanted to sing the praises of the UK made Rycote InVision USM. While a bit expensive here in the US, I really can’t recommend it enough. Granted, I only have 4 mics (in my signature), this shock mount will cover them all. It will be an upgrade from OEM mounts from the mics I have. I’ll be able to install it on one short boom stand and leave it….and just insert which mic I plan to use. An ingenious design and virtually indestructible.

I really like the Rycote mount that Rode included with the earlier NT1. The mic is quiet to start with, and the mount keeps sound from coming in via the stand. The flexible band units work fine, but the Rycote seems to be a really elegant solution!

Looks great and you say it covers all your mics...great design.
My favorite is the AKG 214,314,414 type, so simple to drop in and twist...but its not universal at all....might try a Rycote.

There’s one in my studio for exactly the reason mentioned. Square, oval and round mics fit easily. Clever bit of kit.

The only four mics I have are:

Telefunken TF17
Ear Trumpet Labs Delphina
AEA Nuvo N22 Ribbon/Active
Alder Audio H44S Ribbon/Passive

The largest is 44mm. The Rycote is good for 18 to 55mm….and all fit the specs weight wise (in grams)) as well.

I tried it on a 421 - to be fair I thought there was no way as it's sort of squared conical shape but the little 'grabbers' swivel well enough to hold it safe - something the Sennheiser genuine clips never do!

Yo Roberto... what's the deal with the green background?

This video lets you see the space. Bizarrely - it's my video studio. I'm really clumsy and lazy, so I put up initially all the way around a black thick wool serge curtain. A different project needed a blue screen - I over hung it, then a white one for something else, and finally a green screen. So three sides totally surrounded with lots of layers of thickish material. One has about 4ft depth of equipment stored floor to ceiling - just boxes, trunks and cases. One day I realised that acoustically it sounded quite decent - no nasty honks at the bottom and pretty dead up top - and I started using it for audio recording. If you want to be bored with a video about lighting - this works to let you see the thing.
