I will receive the machine (DP32) next week.

A question:
Are the files of the song in the SD card set in the same point, so when I put them in some computer software, they all are aligned in the same starting point?

Thanks.

Yes this has been my experience on the DP24. You have to export the track files to the Audio depo, connect to the PC in USB mode. The exported tracks appear as .WAV (see manual page 82)

I was then able to simply drag the file into an empy cubase project window and play in perfect sync. Stereo files appear on seperate tracks and have to be panned hard, but that's about it.

Not if you record a track later in the song. Like a lead solo or something where you record from a marker point later in the time line. What I do is bounce the that track to another so that when I export to DAW the bounced track is the same length as the others. I also use the "clean-up" function to delete track files that have been "recorded over". It's kind of a pain but still worth it to me because I mix in the box. I only use my 24 to track and leave all effects and processing to the DAW.

Thanks for the info.
My idea is to take the SD card (without the Tascam) from my drum room to my computer room when I have to mix/edit video etc...

I come from the Fostex VF16 (Hard disk recorder): cero problems in ten years, but not computer/file transfer friendly and limited in EQ and reverb quality.
I use the machine for practicing-recording-listening and for recording audio for some video lessons.

I will give my thoughts on the DP 32 when I have the DP in the works.

Thanks again.

This is the Fostex by the way:
