the other great idea found at Jon Tirone's Music and Electronics Page is Making a Counter out of a Calculator , which I was thinking through as some freaky way for adding digit-counter for an old tube reel-to-reel machine, which would not be clearly useful, but rather for fun visual effect... also would require pretty tricky mini-switches placement around machanics, so at the end it would display numeric "position" reletive to resetable zero... lol, yeah, speaking of wasting time
