    15 String Bass, Anyone?

I saw Bill Dickens play live once (with Neil Zaza). Anyone that can temporarily steal the show from Neil Zaza like he did is top notch. I've never seen a bass player play like that...it was glorious.

    What DAW do you use?

I voted for Reaper, because I use it most. I have PT that I mostly use for drum programming and easy re-amping with the eleven rack.

How would you mimic the sound of a theramin?

The beauty (and confusion) of reaper is that any track can be any kind of track...no buss tracks, audio tracks, midi tracks, etc. On your new track, select the area (time selection) you want your theremin and from the "Insert" menu, select "New Midi Item." You'll see an empty block...

my first xbox 360 soundtrack is live

I can't find the game...is it part of the Arcade, or is it on physical media that needs to be purchased?

    Very Aggressive Autotune!

FWIW...the worst part about t-pain using autotune is the fact that he's one of the few people that actually use it for effect, and not to fix his crappy voice. I despise the dude's music, but he has a really good voice. I hate that he destroys it with Autotune. YouTube - Re: TPAIN cant sing...

    ACM 200 Ribbon Sag

Also try Oktavamod. I seem to remember hearing that he did that after half of the group buy mics were sagging.

    Need Help Finding Drum Software

EZDrummer is quite simple, tweakable, and it's only $100. Check it out at the company's website if that's in your budget. http://www.toontrack.com/products.asp?item=7 EDIT: Toontrack direct pricing says $180, but all the online stores (sweetwater, MF, GC, etc.) have it for $100.

    Best Delay Plug-In?

Acmebargig's Aftershock is one of my faves... 3 separate delays...Left, right, and center. All are independent of each other. Experimentation is half the fun.

    I want your amp. JSX...nice!

Can this space even come close to working?

I have 2 choices for my "Home Studio." Space is short with 2 kids, so I'm forced to choose either the attic (floorplan below) or the basement (pretty standard 2 long rectangular room layout). Problems arise with both spots, because of the fear of moisture and low (7') ceiling in the basement...

Recording guitar ta home using Peavey Revalver mk3

As far as interfaces go, might I suggest the Presonus Firebox? I bought one a month before they dropped the price to $200, and I still got my money's worth for $250. 2 instrument inputs on the front that double as mic Preamps, 2 more line inputs on the back, MIDI I/O, SPDIF I/O, plus flexible...

    Got my Carvin

Looks nice! I'm a sucker for maple fretboards myself. Sounds pretty killer, too! Good playin' as always.

I know I played an s-500 awhile ago, and I've been dying to own one ever since.

Recording With Child In The Room?

Depends on where she is in relation to you. Most Cardioid mics are good at rejecting any sound that they aren't pointing directly at. It also depends on how loud you are when speaking. If you're louder, the input volume can be lower, which would make background noise quieter.

    FX Teleport Anyone ???

I don't know about the pricing of the remote software, but I bought a cheap KVM switch awhile ago for $20 that will allow use of the same monitor, keyboard and mouse on 2 computers. One of the best investments I've ever made....my desk is much less cluttered now. :D

    presonus questions

My firebox runs flawlessly on a 1525 with Win7 installed. One thing to check...when recording, try turning off the wireless networking switch. It really kills performance. Don't know if that's your problem, but if it's on, it certainly isn't helping you any.

Merry Christmas to you too, Bob. I've been good, quite busy. December and January are the crazy times at work for me, so I've not had too much spare time to do anything lately. Plus, I have 2 kids, so spare time is dad time. I hope you had a happy birthday and have a merry Christmas as well.
