Cab simulation

I recently bought a Vox AD30VT (the modeling amp), and it has a line out jack. Since I have no decent mics/rooms for recording, I was wondering what the effectiveness of having the line out run to my recorder, then adding a cab sim in Reaper. Any specific suggestions on what plug to use and some decent cab models for said plugin?

grab some cabinet impulses and run them in ReaVerb. There are some at the reaper stash and tons at the noisevault.com site

Stupid question: how do you use an impulse?

Hit the file button in reaverb and then browse to wherever you have it saved on your hard drive
