I have access to 2 settings with no problem. I see 4 more available but can't enable them. I can load the effect I want and check enable but it does not have an effect on it when I play it back. Got any ideas? Thanks for your time.

Tascam 38 Recorder won't playback when recorded. The tape is in sync mode when recorded and in playback. Meters move when in record but not in playback. Tape is threaded correctly. I checked fuses with tester. Cleaned heads with alcohol. The recorder tape already has some recorded music on it so...
