Here's an instrumental thing I did. The drums are fake, but somebody else had them already done so I just peiced it together with all the guitars which I recorded myself. I will be putting real drums in later.

I'm looking for something to playback multiple sound clips during a live performance. Is there something like that in keyboard form? or a controller with large buttons? I've seen people playback audio from a minidisc player on stage, but I'm looking for a more elegant solution.
Here's a couple songs I finished tracking recently for some friends. We still need to do backup vocals/harmonies and quite a bit of post-production, but I'm curious to see what you all think.

Forget the genres. This is a work in progress. Still need to record vocals and fix mixing here and there. What do you think so far?

Should have more songs up for critique within the next couple days.

I'm not sure any amount of retracking or post-processing will help the song itself. I just started this band a few months ago and we wanted to have something online for friends to hear.
What do you guys think?
Haha, don't mind the topic. I'm a little delirious and I just checked my email.

How's the recording? I'm not too interested about comments on songwriting, as I didn't write or perform this. But I'll make sure they get heard.

Here's a little acoustic thing I recorded for a friend of mine. Took about 4 hours including the time he took to write out parts of it.
Used:
Logic Express
Behringer MX802A
Shure Sm57
Shure Pg58
Jasmine ES31C
MM2 bass copy
Ok I put up a rough recording earlier and this is the "final" product. It's definately lo-fi, but I think it's awesome for a home recording. We just did it to have a recording. We're not sending it to labels or anyone... just our friends.

Ok here's something I've been working on the past few weeks. No background vocals yet, but I'd like some suggestions as far as the mix goes. This is the first thing I've done on my Powerbook.

And if your ears will forgive you, you can...
I've been playing around with software compressors, but I don't notice a significant difference in levels. Is there some kind of graphical tool I can use to squash the peaks in my bass guitar track?
Would I get a the same effect if I normalize to a certain level? I know visually, the wave...
I'm trying to decide which card I should get. Here's my criteria:
-Must work with Powerbook G4 / Mac OS X (USB, Firewire, PCMCIA)
-Would like to record multiple inputs at once as separate tracks (not sure if this is possible)
-24-bit/96kHz
-Tiny budget
I already have a mixer (Behringer MX802A)...
