hm

That's a reflection of the tape guides.

Hm. Its on the tape guides as well though. The one between the erase and sync head seems unevenly worn in the same way. Nothing major if it is there, just something to think about and adjust/acknowledge if it truly is there.

Second pic down.

Thanks for all of your inputs, I will post when I receive the unit. BTW, will this fit in my 2004 Hyundai Senada? ha ha

If your MS-16 comes with the original factory cart, it will be a very tight squeeze.... if you take it all apart and store the various components in the trunk and back seat. In one piece, it won't fit.

Otherwise, you could always hook up a tow rope and drive very slowly! :laughings:

Cheers! :)

It's all over now! I've decided to help you move it Allen. After you pay for it I'll put it in my van and quickly move it to a more suitable location,,,,, MY HOUSE :):):):):):):):):):):):laughings::laughings:

I hope your van has its sea legs!?

Allen is across the pond. :drunk:

Cheers! :)

Yeah, I'm having the same problem here...

Unfortunately, I don't have the files on this computer, so I can't just re-upload then to another server. Try again tomorrow, and if they still don't work, I'll try locating the files and a new server. I'm hoping the tracks can give you a little reference at least.

Seems to be working now! Get it while it lasts.

Haha a british website? I did a google search to find what websites have file uploading I just chose the first or second one on the list.. :p

Hey Pianodano, do you have any mixes you've done on your Toft? Now that you've got me all re-obsessed with the 8 channel version. I'd love to hear it.

Sure. Here you go. I love the Toft. Go here to hear to examples in MP3 http://www.danskittlethorp.com/samples.html.
Scroll down a bit:

Freedom was just finished. It will stream. Also Mona Lisa. It will not and must be DL. (Warning - kinda country)

Both songs were recorded directly into Sonar 6 via the Toft but the drums on Freedom were first recorded on DA-78's and then synced up to Sonar. They were Ludwig Vista Lite.

Lynx Aurora convertors are used. Nancy (my sister, sang lead vocals and did the finger picking on Freedom) sang into a Shure KSM32 with a UA 6176 on the front end. She also was sent thru a LA-2A leveling amp at mix time.

I used A RCA 44BX into the 6176 for the Vocal on Mona Lisa also with the LA-2A on vocal at mix time. Nearly everything in Mona Lisa was softsynth and BFD drums were used.

I keep a Yamaha SPX2000 reverb on a pair of the fx sends.

Both songs were mixed to the Otari 1/4" but with a Manley Varimu on the stereo bus on Freedom and and a ART Pro VLA on Mona Lisa.

Best,

Danny

I'm listening to "Freedom" right now. Sounds pretty sweet. :)

No Toft recording tracked to tape?

Nice job!

I have a couple tunes in process that are being tracked on the MS-16. It will be a little while yet.

Thanks for listening to the music and for your comments.

Allen,

Thank you. She had the DJ play it at her wedding and old Dad got to dance with his little girl.

I'll be selling my MS-16 sometime soon

I decided that I don't need a 16 track machine so I will be selling my MS-16 soon. It is in the PDX area.

If anyone is interested in local pickup pm me.
