I have two mics, a sehnniser 835e dynamic mic and a JTS NX8.8 condensor mic.
When I record using the sehnniser mic, I get a clean sound, but somewhat not as clear as the JTS condensor.
However, I've realised lately that the JTS condensor is giving me a bit of static noise when I record with...
Guys take a look at this... saw this at my local pc shop....

It's really tempting as it's a good deal for a monitor...
Anyone tried it yet?

I have a keyboard which i want to capture the drum loops from, and there is only a midi connection from the keyboard to my soundcard...
how do I trigger the recording in Sonar to start only when the first beat from the keyboard is sent to my computer?
Thanks.

Yup it's an sblive... I managed to make some decent sounding demos using it, but the midi keyboard latency is always a problem. Initially I actually though that it was me with my lousy rhythmn...coz I was trying like helll to play to the drums... now I know better haha.

Other than using the Kx drivers, Are there any other ways to reduce the audio latency? I already have 512 megs of ram, when I put the latency in either Sonar 2 or Reason 2.5 to 20ms, I start getting clicks and pops.
Please don't tell me to get a new sound card as I don't have the money right...
Here is my equipment
cheap Crate mixer
Sennhiser e825 dynamic mic
Sound blaster live
Pretty pathetic huh? But it gets me by...
If I should upgrade, where should I start first? Should I get a Audiophile 2496, a condensor mic or upgrade the mixer?
(Assuming they all cost about the same)...
I read the stuff... I want one for recording vocals and acoustic guitar. Right now for acoustic guitar, if I record it using my dynamic mic it is way too soft for fingerpicking, and if I turn it up the hiss is there...
With a condensor mic, is it possible to get a cleaner vocal sound? As in...
Can't I make do with my Sennhiser 835 ? (a SM57 clone)
Will the condenser mic make the vocal sound fuller or anything?
Also, will it pick up my acoustic guitar better?
Thanks.

Actually what is the use of the style enhancer?
Does it help smoothen , say a "saxophone" played with keyboard so that it sounds more like a real one?
What I want to know is, does a newer versioncome with Sonar 3?
The error is during installation ... it says that it can't unpack the a file...
