J to the R O C
after continuous pops and audio drop outs i reinstalled my audio hardware. now im in the process of reinstalling Cubase Se. i uninstalled it fine, but now the disc wont load anything! Its a legitimate copy, i have the dongle and everything...do i load it in the dvd drive? lease help im having such a shit time.
 
seriously, nobody knows how to install Cubase? I knwo im asking rudimentary things but it wont autorun.
 
tahst the thing, it doesnt show up in my cd drive...does this have somethign to do with the dongle?
 
Do other CDs show up in that drive?

Check to see if there are any scratches or dirt on the CD. Wipe it if necessary.
If other CDs work in the drive and that one doesn't, then there is probably something wrong with the CD. In which case, pretty much the only thing you can do is call Steinberg and convince them that you actually do have the license to use the software and they should send you the CD. You'll probably have to pay shipping.

No. That is most likely your CD drive going south.
 
Proply the CD drive. That happens to me all the time with loads of stuff. One of my drives is screwed. Before I got a second one I was having to install some stuff over a network from my other pc.
 
thanks guys, it was my dvd drive, got it sorted. Thanks alot for all your help, this is a great resource thanks to people like you, i appreciate all your help.
