Uh, Tracktion isnt listed. Oh well, its my secret. The new Tracktion 3 will be in my house today. Cant wait.

Nothing wrong with that program at all.

But at this point if you have yet to commit to a recording package I would have to go with Reaper without any hesitation.

Adobe Audition 2.0 wiht an M-Audio AUdiophile 192 card and a Mackie 1202VLZ feeding it. It rawks... Inexpensive, easy, VERY powerful.

Will this record electronic drums?

I'm doin the Reaper thing myself. So far haven't had any issues and we've found the interface to be very straight forward.

i do a lot of demo work and find tracktion by mackie to be perfect for it. really quick and easy to navigate. plus the workflow is perfect

Right now I just use GarageBand, because I'm not creating anything that requires a totally professional sound. Just solo music, and an occasional band demo. It's actually surprisingly good sounding software.

I'll be getting Pro Tools on here once my band starts doing serious recording.

Adobe Audition, formerly Cool Edit Pro. It's a fairly simple program, but it's got everything I need, which means that it can record and I can use some of the processing to reduce noise and whatnot. If I had the money, I'd upgrade to Protools or something like that. But I don't have the money.

Hi , first post here . Does anyone have Magix Music Studio 12 Deluxe ? If so what do you think of it ?

Just switched to Pro Tools 7.3 M-Powered. I was using Sonar 2.0XL

I still use Sound Forge for quickie type mastering.

Hi

My first post too. Yes I have Magix Music Studio 12 Deluxe, though I haven't done an awful lot with it yet, and I'm really a beginner at home recording. So far, it works fine for me, with electric guitar, drum loops and vocals. I find the interface very user friendly and not too overwhelming, with excellent effects. Sound quality seems great to me. I also don't get the latency problem I had when using Audacity and Sony Acid Music Studio. Bear in mind I have only recorded one (almost finished) song with it. Hope this is of some help.

Which software you use to make audio recording ?

would like to know which is more used and the reason.

Thanks

I use Cubase SX 4

Simply because I've been using it since it was simply Steinberg on a Commodore C64 (Back then it didn't record audio, just MIDI)

For deep tweaking and close-to-sample editing, I use Wavelab 6, also from Steinberg.

yeah - don't get me wrong I LOVE LOGIC STUDIO 8 on my G5 Imac... but for an extremely compact and full-featured DAW that doesn't require so much CPU power TRACKTION is great. 1 Screen holds everything and it's actually very powerful too - I'm using Tracktion 3 more and more and actually like it a lot.
