okay. ive never heard a behringer composer so i can't argue with you there. I have some of the other stuff he's got though and I still prefer the bluemax for a lot of stuff...the vocal 2 setting is awesome and the bass and snare settings are pretty good too. It might develop problems before the other stuff does - and we wont know for a few years yet..so that is a definite downside if it occurs. but for my voice, I track with the vocal 2 setting on and the vocals are pretty much done. I can add some more compression after that with another box and not have any problems layering... at least I can be confident that I can throw on setting 2, get a good level and record something and have it be great every time. I guess the bluemax will always have a place for me as long as I am playing musician and engineer because it saves me a ton of headaches and screwups and most of all time....the bluemax is pretty idiotproof.
