I am reasonably sure that Parker makes a Roland ready guitar, which uses the piezos in the bridge to drive the Roland stuff.
yeah they have the midi fly but it is bolt-on, has a pickguard (ugly), and has all the extra ugly controls on the front of the guitar. parkers have enough knobs and switches as-is

the mod i saw done only had the little G2K pickup on the front of the guitar.

they took the little pickup and crammed it between the bridge and the lead pickup and they disassembled the switching unit and crammed it into the guitar control cavity.

they also butchered their parker and drilled holes on the side of the guitar for the midi controls.

the last thing i want is that big ugly wart of a control unit sticky taped to the front of my guitar.

I very much doubt they took apart one of the GK-2's, as everything in there is on a circuit board, and it would be very difficult to retrofit that stuff. More likely, they used THIS. I am not sure, but I believe it can be used with the Piezos in the Parker, which means you don't even have to deal with the pickup, and which do a better job tracking anyway.

ah! yeah... must have been one of those.

sweet. saved for future reference :)

Coolest to play, 1980 Vantage VS600/most of the finish is worn off; coolest to look at,hmmm probably one of my '60s Tiescos (I collect them, must be a nostalgia thing) most of them play like crap but a wall full of them is cool to look at.

I bought an ancient alvarez acoustic/electric. It's a copy of a J-200. I've never seen another guitar of the same model. I took out the electronics and fit it with a b-band a2.2 setup. It was super cheap and actually the best sounding guitar I have ever played. I looked around forever for an acoustic guitar that I actually liked and this one was it.

Ernie Ball Music Man - Johh Petrucci Mystic Dream, 7-String with Piezo. Hands down, flat out winner. Owned and still do...just wish I could have a dozen more. :D

Update...Peavey Wolfgang...simply an outstanding guitar.

Y'know, I have many cool guitars even cooler than this, so I may be off topic, but..

here's a beautiful 1982 Ibanez Blazer. My first fine instrument, & one of a long line of beautiful and cool instruments. This Blazer plays and sounds great! ;)

I run the Roland Spirit 10A amp's Line-Out to the Roland Bass Cube 40's Pre-in,... & that's my little guitar rig. With the two amps cranked simultaneously it sounds swell! It's plenty loud and has a characteristic Roland sound!!!

Not sure of what other pics I might have of my other guitars,... after a "little" 80Gb corruption incident a few weeks ago, but I'll keep looking!

I'm gonna have to go with my crown jewel...The super heavy duty squire strat copy with lefty mod.....

Actually I bought this guitar at a pawn shop and it sounds sweet and weighs a ton.... I read that the aged plywood could be a factor to the dark tone... I think it's prolly got aftermarket pickups... I got 5 springs and super thick gauge strings on it...

Caddy-type Red with maple neck and no pickgaurd (think lefty here people)....

I'm blabbing... And no one thinks my guitar is cool ... :( + tears....

Pics, man! Pics!

The reading public wants pics!....... ;)

ROFL.... Makes me wanna do the bill and ted air guitar... but I'll resist it...

Put them in the Iron Maiden!....

Bogus!

I had an Ibanez 540 Saber that was great. I threw some Duncans in there and it was awsome. I hated the color though (teal) so I got it painted but the fuckers screwed up. After redoing it twice I gave up and sold it. I'd love to have it back.

Also an ESP Mirage Custom that was pretty cool too.

I like my USA strat.

Kinda cheesy but,....I traded my drum machine for a Kramer KnightSwan back in the early 90's with a buddy of mine. I'm telling you that guitar had a low end from under Satans right foot or something!!! That was such a fun guitar to play. Sold it though for not near enough (accoring to the ones I constantly see on Ebay)!

I got a Supro seafoam-colored guitar with a palm tree on the pickguard and a Supro tube amp for Christmas one year when I was much younger. It was my first electric guitar. At the time, I was a metalhead and thought it was the lamest thing in the world, so I sold it (and the amp) and bought a BC Rich. I was an idiot. What I wouldn't give to have that guitar and amp back now. :(

Sad, sad tale.

Mine was a 20th edition Les Paul Custom. Solid black with white purfling. At the time I also had a 64 SG which I had bought brand new and then put DeArmond Les Paul controls and pickups in. Both guitars had identical sound, I was raising a family, this guy made an offer on the Les Paul, I buckled. :( The only good thing was I missed the axe so badly that I have never sold another piece of gear since. I guess I learned my lesson but still would like my axe back.

Squier Affinity Strat, because that was my first guitar. I sold it, though, for next to nothing :(

I would say that the coolest guitart that I have is an old solid body made by ovation that I picked up back in 1986. Looksgood ,sounds, awesome, and can take a beating! :)

love the looks of it.

Got a old G-707 Roland guitar  and GR-700 synth board for it. :D

Transmits on midi ch-1 only . :p

Picked it up cheap and rebuilt it.... I'm not much of a player. :p :p :p

But i have fun with it seemes I always drift from playing to getting under the hood. :D :D

Also love creating different sounds on the GR-700 ...seem im able to grasp the technical side of things more then the playing :p :D :D

Still Have it and have fun with it
