wav bye bye?

I was trying to organize the last six months of recordings in order to take them off my computer and mix at a studio. I thought renaming them in Ntrack (right clicking and stuff) would move the .wav file too but it didn't. Now it seems as if they are hidden. All that I moved was the npk files. The song still opens up but.............

well I guess i figured it out. N-track combined the NPK with the wave file and now when I bring up properties it just says file, but it like 13 megs now. so i think its cool.
On a related note, this guy thought he could mix this stuff in ACID. How would that work?
