Want to see my studio?

Hey guys I was playing around in my studio last night (see earlier pic) and I discovered this really cool effect.

We were setting up a drumkit for recording, and there just happened to be some sends on the channels being used for the drum mics going to a reverb unit — and the reverb's returns just happened to be patched into two channels that just happened to have some noise gates strapped across them!

So when the drummer hit a drum it made this amazing whooshing drum sound!

I’ve called it:

“Reverbed gating”

Feel free to use this new technique but please credit it to me.
 
Ooooooh.... So that's where I heard it. Glad you found a good use for my invention, the reverb. I started with a big room, yelled a little and the rest, as they say, is history. I didn't get a patent on it as I decided it would be best shared with the little people for the good of the order.

I'm now writing my memoirs about the discovery of penicillin, which I did in my spare time when I wasn't going into big rooms and yelling things.

I'm also a part time Emperor of the Yukon Terrirory. Did you know that?

I noticed that your speaking MY language.........English...

You also used the word "big", which I have multiple patents on. Ill be expecting the royalty check in the mail.

Sorry... I own the mail system in Canada. The check is unlikely to reach you. However you may be comforted to know that it was very .... big.

I suppose I could be the fraud... However.. If one was able to check IP logs, you'd learn otherwise... lol

Hey, I could just come to your "studio" and see for myself. Maybe mess with all your equipment! That's unless you're the fraud! :D :D :cool:
 
Dang it people I invented fraud, your just lucky the patent expired last week or I would be asking for this whole thread to be shut down as you all are frauds!!!! :p
 
OK...I've heard enough...I'm sick and tired of the rampant MySpace fraud and I'm very seriously thinking about revoking everyone's sunshine priviledges. Don't make me do it...'cuz I will.
