Isn't the SM7 use for raidio stations and regular vocals? Not rap and what not? I mean, how good is the quality? Is it really worth the 300$?

Never mind. I thought you were looking for serious mics and not "cool" mics.wvsoulja said:The SM7 looks gay. I want someshit that looks cool. ;( Will I need a pop filter for the SM7?

Dude, I'm telling ya, man . . . they all suck.
Go here, man ! ! !

) I have almost universally shyed away from the more "pristine" mics with the high-end boost. I like to call them the "sheen" mics. These include the usual suspects from Rode, the Studio Projects C series, and most of the Chinese models, come to think of it. Good for the crooners -- not necessarily for the rappers.
I have to be ready for very loud passages, softer passages, and very aggressive consonants -- hard "p's" . . . for when you say stuff like "F**k the MF'ing PO - leese" and stuff like that.
