Hello,
I have a power user PC with a Creative Lab Live! card.
I am totally new to all the audio stuff. For starters, I would like to record an audio track made of several songs linked together, so it sounds like a continuum. Sources are CD tracks that I already have on my hard drive.

I looked at the software and controls that come with the Live! card, and I see the mixer, but I do not find any functionality to allow me to pull 3-4 sound tracks (WAV, from CDs) together, and then edit them so to stop each one where I choose.

I think I need some software to be able to do that, but before I spend endless nights brousing the net trying to learn the ropes, I figured somebody out there could point me to the right direction and save me a lot of time.

Thank you in advance,

Lenade

you need a multitrack recording software, like cakewalk or cool edit, try to get a shareware demo of any mulit track software.
