I'm building a web site for my studio and want to incorporate pictures of some of my favorite abstract/impressionist prints, specifically Paul Klee and Wassily Kadinsky, both of whom are dead.

They pictures would be small and used in the margins or headers to provide accent.

I'm wondering if this would be legal, since someone probably owns the rights to these images, but I'm not trying to sell copies of the images, so maybe it's okay...

Any ideas?

Well I never got an answer to this question, but while doing some research I discovered http://www.Lulu.com, a vanity press where all sorts of artists, established and new, are selling royalty free images.

It's a pretty cool place; I've bought/downloaded a couple of images already. Most are extremely resonable.
