Actuall, Id be curious to see what Mr. Perlman has to say here....Ive read his comments about the mic over at ProRec and thats enough for me.....between his and Rip Rowan's opinions Id say this is a pretty damn good mic for the $$$$......

Trippy thread here..... you guys play kinda rough.

Anyway, I just got a C-1 and it totally rocks. This Alan guy knows his shit when it comes to mics.

C7.... dude, you need a handful of chill pills!:D

(sigh)

I'll be climbing into my asbestos pajamas now. Dammit, I HATE having to wear these things...they itch like a motherf***er.

are you wearing your protective suit and goggles under your pj's?

No. Like Wesley in the Princess Bride (who had built up an immunity to Iocaine powder), I've built up an immunity to asbestos. The pajamas are footed and gloved, and the goggles are built in. Other than that, I'm going commando.

Did I mention that this outfit itches like a motherf***er?

Wesley is dead! I killed him myself!

(Then why is there fear in your eyes? )

:D :D :D

I couldn't resist. Sorry for posting a totally irrelevent post.

Thanks, I like it when someone who has used it comments about it. I have been on rec.audio.pro, and I am out of there. That group is nasty. I think all they are there is high end studios and engineers who simply do not play in the real world.

Alan,

What do you mean by "do not play in the real world"?

I've actually found the group to be helpful and really interesting.
Plus I have there compilation CD that along with the liner notes makes for some informative listening/reading.

GO C7!!!

Gentlemen,

Please................

Reread C7's threads, he does make good points.

C7,

What did you expect?

American's only believe in free speech when it's thier own
opinions.

Also, American's are driven by the all mighty dollars & that's it.

Sadly, I am as guilty, most of the time & I want to know all about a great cheep mic & feel guilty for supporting supressing goverments when I do buy it.

Truth is a hard thing to bare.

Acting responsibly is harder & more expensive.

I thought they were ignorant the first time, why would I reread them?

I want to know all about a great cheep mic.

Cheep mics are very benefical for recording coop sounds.

zekeman,

If you do not mind...

Quote me accurately & not out of context.

You fucking dope!

cheep mics ..... na-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a ha!!!

Mr fuzz...I think you where quoted accurately [but maybe a tad out of context].

I think the attempt was to make a point about your "barnyard" spelling...!!

Nice mouth, btw!! peace!!

fuzzywuzzy,

Sure, I'd be glad too. What was the context of your statements? It just sounded to me like you were praising the validity of C7's posts in this thread. I disagree. The quote was direct. .......Ah yes, and the barnyard spelling.

I suppose if you guys really wanted me to explain why these mikes both have obvious capsule design flaws, and why things like center posts on the rear, matched tension etc. for the rear, (someone commented that the rear doesn't do anything because it ain't electrically connected... brrrp! Thank you for playing...) I might, because Harv is a sweetheart...

In Nashville right now and had nothing better to do for the moment...
