and I mean that in the most stereotypical way possible, so no offense to any alt. lifestylers out there - but this is the equivilant of a woman asking her girlfriends what dress looks good on her.
Okay, I have a Fender American St. Strat - Ash - Natural finish. When I bought it a few years ago, it came with the white pick guard and the white knobs, P/U covers, etc. So I swapped that out for a black pickguard and the "aged" white (off-white-dingy-yellowish) accessories. I like it - it looks good now.
So. I get a sale rag from GC yesterday, and I see they have Fender Pearloid pickguards on sale for $19.95. Normally, this wouldn't raise an eyebrow, but these pearloid pickguards come in 5 different colors. One of those colors is a dark, almost forrest green. Did I mention that Forrest Green is my favorite color?
Anyway, I want to go get one - and I just might. How do you think it will look? Will it look stupid? Anybody have a picture of something similar that they can post so I can see if it will look good. I think it will, but I am not sure. Damn, I feel like my 49% gayness has taken the ol' ride past the 50% mark!
