Where have I been? I have a job. You know, a real one.

Anyway, I think this is getting stupid. My point that no one gets in the other thread was that I am a better all around producer and engineer than Clonegirl. This includes working with the band and their music, tracking, mixing, and mastering. I was just pointing out that I give my clients a lot better result for a lot less than Clonebitch and his "studio" that he always brags about. I have almost nothing to work with and I produce better results from start to finish than Clonevagina and his SUPER PROFESSIONAL STUDIO. This is because my talent surpasses his.

blah blah blah if you still don't understand this and want me to mix some gay piece of shit that someone else tracked wrong then I'm down. (thats negro for "I'm in")

ummmm... (uncomfortable silence)

I think he's gonna beat that guy up....

He finally makes an appearance, and he comes in with both fists up and a mean look in his eye.

I thought this was going to be a friendly competition. I didn't know it was a straight out fist fight. Maybe I don't want anything to do with it....

9 out of 10 black people find my racist comments HI LA RI OUS

so don't worry about it

lol nah.....i have better things to do. like nothing at all. this is cloneboy vs. seifer. its more fun to sit back and make commentary.

are we talking michael jackson-esque black people? black by rap music association people? black by "hey look at me! i bought a 40!" black people? black by "after 400 years of oppression the 'white man' still wants to make jokes at our expense" black people? or black people who just want to see/hear what yall do with the mix so they can judge the two?

C'mon Sief, put your money where your mouth is. You're talking the talk enough, I want to see you walk the walk.

I'll take any song, any place against you.

If you want to bring your client vs. mine that's fine. But to prove that it was an original recording of our own we both have to provide PROOF in the form of the unedited, unmixed tracks of the song (I'd say at least five tracks including vocals) for inspection by an impartial panel of members that we agree on. That way we can be sure you don't cheat. :)

The voting can be blind as well, so nobody knows who's song they are voting on.

I'm ready for your "challenge." I spoke with the band tonight and we are ready to rock on Sunday to record. I just got back from the studio a few minutes ago and have the mics picked out, the session built and ready to roll.

It's so on.

That is, if you aren't scared of a little Clonegirl? :)

OK, maybe I was a bit hasty. This looks like it could be interesting afterall. I'm in, so that I can give the cheap pc speaker perspective....

Siefer fancies himself a tough guy, but the truth is he is just a bully (and an internet one at that hehehe). If you stand up to him, instead of getting physical he hurls insults... because insults prove nothing.

I'm just here to accept HIS challenge. Unfortunately for him I'm not watching the clock when I mix this song, nor are we stepping into a time warp back a few years ago when my mixes were mediocre.

as a normal person.... I'm looking forward to this spirited competition. its been noted that both sides have a handle for the dramatic flare. of course like in most competitions there are those you want to win and those you love to hate. however, when it comes to mixing music, it still holds itself as an art more so than a science and thus leaving no exact correct answer. it all comes down to who has a better mix..will it be Cloneboy or The Seifer, aka cat eggs, aka I'm too sexy for my cat eggs, aka I'm too sexy for cloneboy, aka I'm too sexy for this mix. :D

This whole thing is doomed from the start, so whatever. EVERYBODY is going to vote for you no matter what because it's trendy to hate me (check out my rep points, -40 so far)

I'm going to submit one of the bands songs next week anyway, and if it sucks then everyone will tell me and say I TOLD YOU SO, and if it is good then everyone will pull classics such as "you cheated" or "you stole that song from somewhere else." Basic message board psychology, kids.

I guess then the truth will be seen for what it is. I still think it should be a 3rd party that you guys mix, and thus taking any gear advantage out of it, but I'm not the authority, and it's only my opinion. It's your challenge, and I am but a novice bystander who will gladly vote on the blind mixes.

last time i checked, it was going to be a blind A/B test so we wont know whos who. until the results are in from the the votes - minus newbies and alter egos

I think that's why the blind vote was suggested. That way, they won't pull the favoritism thing when they do vote. It was also why I suggested the 3rd party submit the tracks to be mixed. It puts you on sort of even ground. Getting a mix with a drum machine, two guitar parts, a bass and a vocal ( a very bad one that needs auto tune) would be perfect, especially if it's not tracked the best. It could put your skills to the test...

I think that the legitimate users posting in this thread should be the judges and the songs/mixes be blind. (Albeit with one person that posts them as earlier stated).

Right now I'm waiting for Siefer to make up his mind WHAT we're going to mix. Seeing as he wants to aim for a "total package" as producer I think that we should each bring a band/song--provided we can offer the proof I spoke of earlier to the third party arbiter.

Yeah, for the total producer thing, it would have to be a band that you brought in, with each person posting to a 3rd party's site and a blind mix. You could call the files Blind One and Blind Two, or something and PM your votes. I like that.

Now, should there be deadline?
