:) About 2 years ago, I collaborated on a song written by Peter Fokkema of the Netherlands who I haven't seen or heard from in a minute. I think we both thought this was a very good song idea. It needed some tidying up as the original mix was actually done from a mp3 he sent me via e-mail. I finally got around to remixing the song (after two years) and I'd like the forum's oppinion on the end result. I guess I'm looking for comments and critiques on the lyrical/melodic content more so than the actual recording technique used. I'm not trusting my own ears right now as the hours spent behind the console today and 2 other rehearsals have given me a bad case of ear fatigue so please take a listen and tell me what you think of the song. It amazes me how two people seemingly million miles apart can cross this electronic divide and come up with a song. :)

Great song MrM. I like the vocals, rich sounding gtrs, percussion. It's in tune, in the pocket.

The bass is WAY too strong. There's a general 100-300 Hz overemphasis in the mix. Tame that and you've got it perfect, IMO.

Maybe also, the guitar lick that repeats so much in the chorus could be a little more towards the back in the mix. It gets just a little repetitive. But the tone and rhythm of the guitar is really good throughout.

I especially appreciate the lyrics.

Starts out very nice and pretty. Good tone there. Vocals are great. Very nice voice. I agree with Tim, bass is a bit strong. Tune is nice though. Very good song in the works. Nice guitar playing. (Solo at 2:20).

Nice job. Really liked it.

Thanks for the listen and the comments. I'm in the process of remixing the bass now. Will repost as soon as that's complete. It's amazing what you can actually hear the day "after" you take off those so called "reference" headphones. :) Stay Tuned...........
