For the slide, I'm going to try putting a virtual overdrive pedal on that track to see if if gives it a bit more sustain. But since an over-drive pedal usually goes before the amp, I'm not sure if adding it to the post-amp sound will work. I'll find out later.

Before you try putting an od after the fact, put it on your di track & run it through the amp Rami....I've done this before, & actually had pretty decent results....The SD-1 in Amplitube is pretty close to the real thing, so you might find something that'll work dude....

Of course. I keep forgetting that I don't have to re-track. I can just re-re-amp. I'll get used to that one day. I still have the DI track, obviously, so I'll probably do that. Thanx.

Rami dude, that re-amp box is your best friend man, I really like mine because it gives me the freedom to play with the amp, mic(s), whatever, without having to try to juggle a guitar while doing all that...That's the best $100 I've spent on gear...

Yeah, I often wish I didn't see shit like that, because I'm generally a happy, funny easy to get long with guy. But certain things just bring me down to other people's level and I end up coming off like an aggressive jerk, which I'm really not. I just need to stay away from shit like that.

I agree 100%. I just need to forget my old mentality of "Aw man, I don't want to re-record this whole track". Because I don't. :D

This may have been asked before, but what does a reamp box do differently then say using my 1/4 jack OUT on my soundcard back into the amp? Because this is on my list of fun things to try? But if i am going to blow up my soundcard i should probably ask before trying.
 
When you record the dry guitar signal through a DI, the DI ups the level with a preamp. The re-amp box will lower the level again and match the impedance so it's more like a signal coming from a guitar.

^ This....*some* people have had luck using a stompbox for a re-amp box, but I'm not one of those people...

I tried going straight from my interface to my amp....lots of noise....

I tried a stompbox in between my interface & amp....lots of noise....

I tried my POD X3Live this way....lots of noise....

But, when I got the Radial RMP, it fixed all my issues....I highly recommend the RMP...

Ok cool. Interesting as well. I'll keep all that in mind. I was going to try to just send the signal out of my Pod to the Amp itself but i guess it stands to reason there is some signal science going on there i hadn't considered. Thanks guys.

Really dude, a re-amp box is basically a 1/4" jack, an XLR jack, & a little transformer that converts the signal to what the amp is supposed to see (I'm sure you could have 1/4" jacks on both sides if you wanted)...I've seen DIY kits online where you can build your own re-amp box, & they're a lot cheaper than the Radial, that might be an option for you...I just threw the $100 at the Radial & called it done....I can't really remember how much the DIY kits were, but I'm thinking they were about $40...

I actually didn't use a speaker or mic for that clip. I used my LP > Legacy > Palmer PDI-03 > TC Electronic G-Major 2 > interface. The Palmer and G-Major are part of my live rig but they work great for silent practice and recording.

Pretty impressive man to say the least....Like I mentioned, I've never played through a Legacy, but my nephew has a V3 mini & matching 2x12 (V30) cab that sounds pretty good...The only thing about that amp is I heard him playing in a band situation, & he just didn't cut through the mix like he should've, dunno if he had any juice/volume left on the amp, but just sayin'....I think that amp is 7/15/50w, so he may have had it on a lower power setting...That wouldn't really matter for recording either, in fact, it may be better to get the tubes working without so much noise/volume...

He told me I could borrow that amp for a couple days & record it back in the winter, but never got around to it, & I've moved since then...It's not that far away, but before I moved, I could walk to his house in just a minute or two, we lived pretty much next door to one another.....

Post us some more tones dude...

That's surprising .... it sounded great and, as I said, I was really impressed with how it responded to picking dynamics.

or he may have had the mids scooped which is the same thing as turning it down.
It's shockingly common to have the mids scooped like that and it never cuts thru no matter how many watts there are.
I see/hear it all the time.

Very possible Bob, can't say for sure, but I don't think he'd set his amp like that...It was an outdoor gig too, they were on a covered stage....It's really hard to tell what was going on, but I do know he's not shy when it comes to the volume knob, I played in different bands with him off/on for years...He's a good player too...

Pretty funny he's an ordained Baptist preacher (he went to some school/certification thing, I just don't know the details, but he's an "official" preacher....), & he always tells me his favorite settings on most of his amps' tone stack/bass/mid/treble is "6-6-6"....:laughings:.
