The feedback thing really sucked after I listened to it today... No biggie though, I know it can be done (somewhat), I just have to have the monitors up pretty loud...Of course, it's not gonna be like a real amp, but it's kinda funny you guys say the best tone I've posted here was an ampsim...especially since I've spent a couple grand on amps & speakers in the last year or so...:laughings:

That said, I'm still thinking of using both, blending the two to see what kind of sound(s) I could get. I could record a di into my interface & the real amp at the same time (using my re-amp box), then blend the two, or re-amp the di through either amp, with different settings/speaker/etc...

I think the problem with my amp's low end is the cab, partially, & part is mic placement. But, I'm thinking a 4x12 (maybe even a 2x12) would give a little more "grunt"/bottom.....

After listening to my clips, & other clips, the mic placement has to be a big part of my failure to get the "chunk" happening....It's funny though, when I started using real amps, I could never get the high end/"bite" I wanted, now I've pretty much got more than I need, & the low end is what I'm chasing...:D

No tones today, I slept late, & honestly don't feel like fucking with it. I've only got about 30 mins & have to leave for work anyway, last night was a killer at work.....

if you listen to the first boston album thats the tone im getting with my rockmodules

i have to hook up my mixer to my interface and then ill be able to poast some toanes
 
Well, that's what this thread is about, posting your recorded tones for others to help you improve 'em.....I had a couple of the Rockman modules, wish I still had 'em, but they're long gone......post some tones dude......

I think it's your cab and iso box dude. I'm sure it can be done, but it just doesn't seem plausible that a small one speaker cab trapped in a deadening box can ever have that big chunky sound. A 4x12 has all the girth you could want, but will a one watt head be able to get it shaking? I don't know. And if it does work, it's gonna be pretty loud. A 2x12 might be the answer. I had an 18 watt head hooked up to my 2x12 and it was pretty insane. 18 watts is considerably more powerful than 1 watt, but I think it's worth a try if you wanted to give it a go.

Awesome. I'd love to go back in time and see The Clash. They're easily in my top 5 fave bands ever. I saw the Ramones 6 times. The first time was with Dee Dee and I'm very happy for that. He was on his way out though at that point and didn't play with much energy. He just stood there. Lol.

johnny was johnny and i forget which drummer they had but the original dude was always the best

In 83 it could have been Marky or Richie on drums. Marky got the boot that year for being an alcoholic, maybe it was 82, and Richie replaced him, then Marky came back sober and replaced him in 88. Tommy was the first drummer, and I don't think he was the best. Marky was in my opinion by far the best Ramones drummer.

part of the verse is ramones and part is brian wilson

and part is bob dylan and part is tom sholz
