Tascam414

I have the Tascam 414 4track recorder and I'm trying to put My keyboard which is an old CASIO 210. The 210 has only one output, I have hooked it up to channel 3 & 4 as it says in the book but I can't get any sound to pickup on either track I've also tried tracks 5&6 and 7&8 I 'm brand new to this and chose Tascam for it's simplicity??? hope someone can help

First output the keyboard into something else, like an amp. To see if it's even outputing. If it is, then switch track 3 to the arm position, turn the pre all the way down and try to get signal via the fader. Make sure your in record mode. If the 414 has one.
