cool edit is tha best software w/ tascam 428

do u guys agree

ughhh... if you say so... personally I like cubase but its your preference.

Don't actually think the US-428 integrates as well with Cool Edit as with Cubase. I've been getting into n-Track, and it supports the '428 about as well as Cool Edit, so far, anyway. The n-Track GUI is a little friendlier than Cool Edit for that purpose, though.

Cubase & Tascam what a trip.

I use Cubase...it does quite well, well most of the time. But as with any DAW operations you will have times of unhappiness. I do. The 428 & Cubase is hell when it's well, but it can become sick.....sick....sick. And as for support ........Poof, you fix it or get help from a forum. The company could give a rats ass in the past........but with Yamaha being the new owner, maybe things will look up for the user. That is my hope, we will just watch as see.........

AA 1.5 is Adobe Audion 1.5; which I believe is the new version of CoolEdit Pro 2.0., after Adobe bought out whoever made CoolEdit .
