I'm having some trouble with this. I need to (1) replace the right reel motor and (2) adjust the left reel table height. So I followed the manual and removed the panels etc, but it seems that there's a missing step. I just don't see a simple way of accessing the set screws or the screws holding the reel motor. I know if you get to the set screws, you can remove the reel table and then obviously access to the reel motor screws aren't a problem. But how do I get in there? I can't even see the damn set screws! Thanks in advance for any help.

?...

Ball-end hex? Get it from an angle?

According to that drawing, the set screws attach the reel table to the motor shaft. To gain access, you have to do it from behind the plate. There must be just enough room from behind.

RtoRs are notorious for tight access. Another reason why I love em.

Guessing on this one again....

Maybe if you remove the brake bands and felts you might find access holes.
Or instead of removing the brakes, just rotate the reel table to gain access.
This would still require removing the felts as an exploratory thing.
If you're removing the reel motor as a goal, you'll have to remove the brakes anyway.
I would find a small inspection mirror to determine where the set screws are.
It might give you a better idea of what you're dealing with.
