syncing adats 2 pc via mtc

ummmm i was wondering how do you sync adats to a pc via mtc ???
is it possible????
i tried to do it with my brc into sonic foundrys vegas audio but the pc just wont even chase to the brc it doesnt even know its there!!!!
im just pissed off coz someone told me i could and i havent been able to yet

Few ways....

Do you have an interface: MOTU EXPRESS XT, micro express.
if so, either of these units can emit & receive MTC, get a 1/4 (quarter inch cable) SMPTE/OUT BRC into SMPTE/IN interface, set interface to SLAVE.

An audio card with ADAT Sync, I happen to have the 2408 MKII which may be out of your range, but a card with ADAT sync
BRC/ADAT SYNC OUT connected to ADAT SYNC IN, ADAT OUT, into audio card, SYNC IN -- set cards ASIO/MMC/MTC ((after you have installed the cards drivers))

JL COOPER DATA SYNC

connect the ADAT to this ((NOT THE BRC, JUST THE ADAT))
adat in to in on J.L., adat out to out on J.L., this will emit SMPTE
via a 1/4 out, input this into your (hmmmm, whatever it is you have that excepts SMPTE) then set VEGAS to be SLAVE.


It's best to let the BRC be the master in any MTC set up.
