SX-1 Won't Boot

I have a SX-1 which will not boot. I was in the process of burning a CD and it stopped responding. The only way I was unable to shut it off was by the power switch in back. Upon turning the unit back on it wouldn't go past the TASCAM screen which appears at boot-up. I have no idea as to how to solve this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the aborted CD still in the tray? If so your machine may be trying to boot from it. If you've removed it already and it still won't boot, contact Tascam tech support at 323-726-0303 (Dial 0 and ask for Tascam Tech support). They may be able to send you the latest system update CD from which you should be able to reinstall the OS if yours was corrupted during the shutdown. Don't choose to reformat the drive!! I believe you can rebuild the OS without reformatting but I'm not positive. Definitely call Tascam!!! They will try their best to help you out and recover your files if they can.
