here's a question from left field... hopefully not too left, though.
like a bunch of other folks, i've got a lot of stomp boxes (some i use, some i don't, some mysteriously don't work) among them the original Big Muff (autographed by Mudhoney!), DOD stereo chorus, Ross phaser/ distortion, generic distortions, hendrix crybaby wah, etc.
what i'm interested in is altering what the boxes do to the signal. for example, i've heard of "circuit bending", where this guy takes old casios, adds an alligator clip here or there, makes new circuit connections, and - viola - you get new sounds from an old circuit board.
take a pedal. one end a sound goes in, the other end it goes out, and one simple circuit board adds an effect.
HAS ANYONE HEARD OF, OR THOUGHT ABOUT, THIS?
surely on this great big Internet there has to be a place to get tips, hints, or instructions for this.
especially with all the analog boxes piling up around here.
thanks

ps. there's a link to the circuit bending guy, reed ghazala, at the links page of musicjinx.cjb.net

I had bookmarked a page that had alot of information on stomp box mods, I can't seem to find it anywhere. I will post the address if and when I find it.
