Got the soffits covered with 3/4 birch plywood. Taped and mudded the sheetrock. Built the cloud frame. More pics tommorow.......

Looking good so far man. Where are you gonna house the computer? How did you get that door for $100?

The computer is going to be inside a door in the righthand side sheetrock wall. There will be a fairly large cavity there that will house the comp, and I am going to build a fairly large rack there as well....

The door was a custom order door (and then returned) that was clearanced priced to $200, then $100. I wasn't palnning on getting a door for awile, but I couldn't pass this up. It's a 36" exterior door with a 28x60 window in it. I was going to spend $279 on a similiar interior door. :D

Call me crazy but won't sound bleed through the gap above those soffits and cause a bunch of rumble and mud in the 2x6 section of the room you left alone. did you put any deadening material in there or do you plan to seal off the gaps?

This is looking tremendous, make sure you keep posting pics!

Mixing only - I have a 1000 sq. ft. tracking room.

It will be sealed, and will be about 1/2" from the cieling before it is sealed anyway. It will be more sealed from the area next to it, than the room next to this room anyway.
