RE: Do you think your V67G is darker than your B1? Also, do you really think the V67G sounds boxy?
DJL, I do think the 67 is fuller than the B1 - if you consider fuller darker, then the answer is yes. To my ear the B1 is less colored, more pure, which sometimes is better, sometimes worse.
The only time the 67 sounded boxy to me, as I stated above, was on my solid-top Washburn dreadnaught, which is already more bassy sounding than I would prefer. I have a song where I double-tracked a finger-picked
acoustic guitar part - the intro is only the two acoustic tracks. On that song, my guitar sounded boxy thru the 67. IMHO both the B1 and the 603S are better for my guitar.
RE: What do you prefer for recording guitar, the B-1 or the V93?
Also, what style of guitar do you record?
I haven't had time to record with the 93 yet, with family and work obilgations taking up too much of my time. It will probably be next week before I can mess with it.
My music is pop-rock, a mix of acoustic picked and strummed parts with some electric, keys and synth here and there. I don't record drums, so I must use loops, sounfonts, etc.
