The V67G holds up as well as the B1... and IMO, the V67G is closer to being neutral or flatter than the B1... the B1 is a brighter colored mic than the V67G.

So for brightness,, If I have a B1 would I benefit from a V93m?

I am about to duplicate or come close to a vox technique I have been hearing in some of the new R&b and Pop.

That airy, bright,shiny, female vox sound.

DJL, I do think the 67 is fuller than the B1 - if you consider fuller darker, then the answer is yes. To my ear the B1 is less colored, more pure, which sometimes is better, sometimes worse.

The only time the 67 sounded boxy to me, as I stated above, was on my solid-top Washburn dreadnaught, which is already more bassy sounding than I would prefer. I have a song where I double-tracked a finger-picked acoustic guitar part - the intro is only the two acoustic tracks. On that song, my guitar sounded boxy thru the 67. IMHO both the B1 and the 603S are better for my guitar.

I haven't had time to record with the 93 yet, with family and work obilgations taking up too much of my time. It will probably be next week before I can mess with it.
My music is pop-rock, a mix of acoustic picked and strummed parts with some electric, keys and synth here and there. I don't record drums, so I must use loops, sounfonts, etc.

Oh, and one more thing:

I agree with ALL of you who said get both. Why not?? At less than $100 each, both mics are incredible values and, in some applications, outperform mics costing literally three times more. And that's according to any number of veteran posters around here, people with real studios (as opposed to my humble spare bedroom setup).

The V-67 has been an incredible mic for my uses - and I paid $170 for it! Now you can get it on eBay brand new for around 90 bucks. In no way am I dissing that mic - I love it. It's just that I believe the B1 has its place too. I actually tried a C1 and liked it a lot, but found that for my "hobby" type purposes, having all three would be overkill.
