I can't figure out how to erase tape . My ATR has a erase head . I've searched all over the great wide web. Can anyone help?

Hi,
The erase head is before the record head and active in record mode, so every time you record the tape is wiped clean first.
Usually to erase the tape you just record as normal but with input levels at 0 and nothing plugged in.
For a faster wipe or for bulk wiping you could buy a demagnetiser.
